A museum that’s bursting at the seams
When the Oregon Film Museum opened in 2010, we hoped to attract curious locals and the occasional film fan. What we got was something far bigger: a beloved destination drawing visitors from all 50 states and more than 25 countries — all packed into a tiny historic jail.
That’s a wonderful problem to have. And now it’s time to solve it.

What we’re building
Just across the street from our current home, a two-story, 10,500-square-foot museum is ready to come to life. The Clatsop County Historical Society has already acquired the property. Now we’re raising the $10.1 million needed to build it.
